The Next Big Thing: Touchless Touchscreens

Computers have come a long way since I was a kid. I remember the days when my friend's Commodore 64 was the 'cat's ass'  and since then we have seen some remarkable developments.

From vacuum tubes, to microchips, and then to Star Trek style touch screens... and now we are even surpassing what was deemed impossible even for science fictions like Star Trek.

'God Particle' Higgs Boson Has Been Found

DailyMail  - Scientists at Cern will announce that the elusive Higgs boson 'God Particle' has been found at a press conference next week, it is believed. Five leading theoretical physicists have been invited to the event on Wednesday - sparking speculation that the particle has been discovered.

Scientists at the Large Hadron Collider are expected to say they are 99.99 per cent certain it has been found - which is known as 'four sigma' level.  Peter Higgs, the Edinburgh University emeritus professor of physics that the particle is named after, is among those who have been called to the press conference in Switzerland.

Nexus 7 Tablet Made Official

By Craig Garcia - More news today on the Google front. It seems that Google's tablet, the Nexus 7, is almost ready to roll out. The 7 inch tablet will come with the newest version of Android's operating system, code named Jelly Bean as well as a bevy of other features.

The details are a 1.2 Megapixel front facing camera, a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, NFC, 1280 x 800 display...however the big news is the price. Although the base model comes in with a storage capacity of a meager 8Gb, the entry level price of $199 makes up for that. If you're like myself and use a USB flash drives for almost everything, the entry level tablet would work perfectly as I would use my card reader with usb connection to dump items on and off the unit.

Currently the Nexus 7 is slated to hit the market in mid - late july, and with prices starting at $200 bucks then you know that this will be a hot ticket so get your pre-orders in early.
