I saw this product watching coverage of CES 2012, and immediately knew that I had to have one. Let me introduce you to the Lytro Light Field Camera. This sleek and small camera isn't anything like the camera I have at home, and maybe not like one you have used either. A conventional camera captures a single plane of light, the Lytro captures the entire field of light. So there is no need to focus, and you can actually 're-focus' the photo multiple times after the picture has already been taken.
The display on the rear of the camera is also a touch screen, making it easy to browse the pictures you've just taken, and on board memory ensures you'll be snapping pictures all day! The only thing I'm not crazy about would be the price... I know it's a new product and all new things cost a little more. So a starting price of $399 for the 8Gb camera, and $499 for the 16Gb may seem a little high at first, it's sure to come down a little in 6 months to a year.
