O.R.B. Wireless Bluetooth Ring

I originally saw this product almost a year ago, and at the time it blew my mind. I mean real wearable tech that looks slick and would have real world applicable uses... this would be great. I immediately tracked down the company Hybra looking to purchase one, and to my dismay this awesome product was not yet ready for sale.

So what does a geek do? Sign up online to receive updates on the product of course! The only problem is, this company doesn't seem to care about people interested in the O.R.B. ... The section to sign up for updated info on the product doesn't actually do what it is supposed to do, instead I was signed up for info on another product from Hybra Tech... some bone induction headphones... which sounds cool, but it's not what I want. So I called the company, and after waiting on hold for what felt like an hour I was told to sign up on the website and I would be kept in the loop about the O.R.B. ring and then was disconnected.....

So today, almost a year after starting this search... the freaking website still does not sign a person up for news on the ring... instead I am getting more information on those stupid headphones. This blue tooth ring would sell like hotcakes and I don't know why this company is just sitting on the idea (probably hoping to sell the concept to another company) but if they are not going to sell the ring, stop feeding misleading information to potential customers, and stop pushing your stupid headphones on us.... if I wanted your headphones my phone calls, emails and faxes would have indicated I wanted to know about them!

Okay rant done, this post started out with the best of intentions... sharing the news of this potentially awesome wearable tech but my frustrations with Hybra Advance Technology Inc took over. Hopefully my future postings on the O.R.B. Ring and Hybra will be positive and will include reviews of a functional unit available for purchase, but until then sexy tech such as this ring will remain a dream.

  1. Same here bro. Just cant understand what's in their brain to not release these stuff that already had a prototype as early as of 2009?! 3 years and they still cant start consumer production?!! Sigh. Sad case is sad.

  2. I wouldn't be surprised if this product was a gimmick to gain attention and drive traffic to their company website. If you think about it, how can a little ring like that be capable of sustaining a full color OLED screen and bluetooth. Especially since 2009 was the date its concept was announced, there was nothing close to this in 2009, how could a small company have this kind of technology?

  3. It was earlier than 2009 even, I've signed up for news about this many many years ago, and they have made ZERO progress. Their Facebook page is BLANK, no updates for years. Let freaking APPLE make it, since hydra obviously isn't. What a great concept going to waste. I hope their patent is getting ready to expire so someone else makes it.

  4. On the same page as everyone else. I just saw this today on Pinterest so I went looking for where to get one and ended up at the same place - the Hydratech site. When I read 2009, I wondered why there weren't everywhere. It could be the company holding out to sell the concept or just a hoax, either way, very disappointed. I still want one!

  5. I saw this today for the first time and started looking for it. Well turns out the website of the company no longer exist, the only thing you find on the whole thing are posts like these on gadget sites. A bunch of people excited about it but nothing concrete anywhere which kinda suck.
